Construction is in full swing at the Altoona Water Authority’s Westerly facility in Altoona, Pennsylvania. These photos show each of the wastewater plant’s anaerobic digesters being wire-wound and coated with concrete, one of the last steps before the digesters are fitted with linear motion mixers. Once all the construction is complete, the digesters will be seeded, and the AWA will be able to begin co-digestion within a few months.
